Patagonia Running Up For Air x Strava Global Activation
One June 1st, 2024, more than 250,000 people joined the Strava Challenge and 169,000 people completed it around the world.
Collectively they spent 941,333 hours doing the challenge. They traveled more than 4.5 million miles (7 million kilometers) which is about 453 roundtrips between Patagonia campuses in Reno or Ventura, or 182 circumnavigations of the Earth. They climbed 285 million feet (87 million meters), which is 9,824 ascents of Mount Everest!
We also held 53 in-person events supported by our retail stores with 1,131 participants in 17 countries on 5 continents.
Leading up to the event, we screened a Patagonia film, Running Up for Air, in our Patagonia retail stores, hosted weekly trail runs with ambassadors, and raised funds for air-quality organizations through Patagonia Action Works.
